Declan Foley, creative director of designwest started his illustrious graphic design career in Dublin in 1996 when he qualified with a distinction in design communications - from College in Athlone. It was in 1998 that Declan started work in his first big agency 'Watermarque' which was then one of the busiest marketing communications agencys in Dublin with clients such as Budweiser, Carlsberg and Sony to name but a few. It was here that he designed the current 'carlsberg' tulip glass which is possibly one of the biggest personal achievements in his career if only because of the success of the design.

After three years in Watermarque -Declan went on to join another of Dublins biggest Agency's in the form of Strategem where he created many award winning designs for clients such as Smirnoff, Baileys, Tayto, Batchelors and many more. Declan left stragegem as a senior graphic designer/studio manager after nearly four years and decided that he wanted to 'freelance' his services so he could - freshen up - his design skills.

Whilst in freelance design Declan worked for two of Dublin's biggest and indeed renouwned agencys - Cawley Nea and Rotcho where he worked on advertising and marketing briefs for clients such as Aer lingus, Avonmore, Yoplait and Coors Light.

In late 2005 Declan did a stint of freelance work for another of Dublin's best known marketing agencys Banks love and whilst here was made an offer to join the team on a full time basis. Declan worked here for over a year and indeed this was one of the most enjoyable years of his working career because of the fanastic team that was in place in Banks Love.

After Declan left Banks love he decided to focus his energy on building up the 'designwest' client portfolio and the rest is fast becoming history...
